The high intensity lamps are made by PIAA. Light output is equal to wattage twice what the bulb actually is. 55 watt lists for $34 you can have it for $29.50. 35 watt lists for $35 YOUR PRICE $28.

Re:Passing Lamps 10 Months, 1 Week ago
I added my lamps the same day I took delivery of my Star... Assembly went real nice but after about a month, my reight lamp developed a twitch...
I pulled of the lens ring to find the ground screw (on the back of the lamp...) was never tightened from the factory... A quick twist with a phillips and fixed! (Of course, that led to checking all the other factory electrical connections, but now I know how they are too!

Re:Passing Lamps 10 Months, 1 Week ago
I went to the stealer today and priced the 35 watt and it was
$23.00 I about S&#t!!!! and of course they were out of them.
The parts man said he had some by Suzuki but they were only
25 watts for $9.00. I said great and bought 2. Got home and
changed them and can't see much difference. I think I'll stick
with these until I can get a conversion mount for sealed beams.
I still want to convert to amber sealed beam,
I see someone else on the forum has them and they look great.
I think its Mark 7. He also has the amber turn signal lens which
I want also.
Thanks everyone for all the help
Denny

Having trouble with my passing lamps. It started with my left light
going out first, then it started working again, then they both went out,
then the right started working again, now they are both out again.
Kinda confusing huh.
I hate to tear all three lights apart right off the bat and was
looking for some ideas where to start. If they both were going out
at the same time I would just start checking the ground wires or lead
connections but as it is, I'm kind of lost as to where to start.
I have an 06 Silverado and the only logical explanation I can think
of is being White it's so fast the passing lights can't keep up
Any help would be great
Denny

All the connections are in the headlamp bucket, so start there, after reading this:

I still like your setup Mark. What kind of bucket do you use
for your highway lights? $118.00 seems like a lot of money
to convert from the H3 bulb to the sealed beam but as we all
know Yamaha is sure proud of their parts $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Re:Passing Lamps 5 Months, 2 Weeks ago
HI GUYS, I HAVE AN 02 RS WITH A PASSING LAMP ISSUE. I HAVE ALREADY TORN THE WHOLE ASSY' DOWN, CHECKED ALL CONNECTIONS, WIRED IT INTO THE HIGH BEAM WIRE (YELLOW), AND IT STILL DOESNT WORK. I READ SOME OF THE POSTS AND A BLUE WIRE WAS MENTIONED. I WENT OUT AND LOOKED AND THE ONLY BLUE WIRES I FOUND WERE FROM THE TURN SIGNALS, AND ONE WITH A YELLOW STRIP. NOW I WANT THEM ON ALL THE TIME. HOW DO I POWER THEM UP, ANY THOUGHTS ?

is the switch on the left lamp housing ON? next question, Did you have the High beams on when you checked them? The blue wire is a solid blue, no stripe. The blue wire will power them all the time. check for a good ground.
