That's good to know about the idle. What's a good idle level? I don't have mine set down so far that it's camming and on the verge of stalling out, I just lowered it enough to get that nice "lope" don't know about better word for it. That idle were it just has that signature v-twin double hit and pause, then a double hit and pause...is that too low?

The R* does not have a lope when set to spec ... around 900 rpm .... where it should be set.

That said, even I don't run at spec.

If you have set the idle so low that when it warms it's "on the verge of stalling out" then you have it too low. I run mine about 700 - 750 rpm ... low enough to get a slight lope but it still runs smooth.

BTW ... don't try and rejet unless you running the idle at spec. It will be difficult to jet.

Thanks, Doc...

Yeah, I waited to reset the idle until AFTER I'd done the rejet. I wanted as few variables as possible in case I had issues. I think I must have it set about like you, it idles fine...just with a little lope to it.
