Front turn signals 8 Months, 4 Weeks ago
First off...this place is on time...like having a tech in your garage. Thanks to all who have straightened me out on more than one occasion.
OK...NEXT..The bike I have 2005 R* came without tail lights or front turn signals.( 250 rear/ 6* Victory front forks) I got the rear working with new tail lights and the Kury R/T/B controller. Now to the front.....should I expect to find a connection under the tank for the front turns? I found the rear connection for the tail lights which made everything simple.

Thanks, Dan

Wireing for front running lights & turn signals should be in the headlight shell. the running light wire is blue the turn signal wires are brown & green (I don't remember which is which).

I'm buying an '05 Roadstar with the same problem.........the original owner wanted an 'custom' look and removed the front signals. The rear tail light and signals were replace with these Kuryakyn LED Tombstone Taillight & Signals http://www.cyclegiant.com/pgroup_descrip/1477/1263/?mode=image&image=2128

They Don't quite cover all the holes from the original .... does anyone know IF I can return to the original taillight and cover all the holes that way (if I decide to go that route)? Also, what would be a good matching front set for the Kuryakyn Tombstone Taillight if I want to keep that?

Thanks,
Larry

Thanks CoachDan,

Yeah.........I'm psyched about the Roadie! I had a Warrior up until last fall and LOVED IT! She's just not a great 2-up bike, so I thought I try the 'Star' version. I test drove a few bikes the past few years at Americade & Laconia (several HD's ....2 Victory's......etc) & the Roadstar was the first one that made me even THINK I could be satisfied with something other than my beloved Warrior (my reaction to the others varied from "ehhhh" to "holy crap - how much longer before I can get off of this thing?!?".

I saw those lights but I have no bar or anything there right now and not sure how I'd go about attaching them up front. I was looking for a bar, but everything I saw seemed to be designed to be for the driving light accessories.

The sad thing is............the stock taillight is one of my favorite of all the bikes I've looked at .........and when I find the bike I want to buy -- it's been changed out. Go figure! LOL!

Hey DownTownLB
Not sure if your planning on using a windshield or not, but if you are, these might work on the windshield mounting brackets. I've been thinking about these to mount a couple PIAA driving lights in the same location.

No....not really planning a windshield..........at the most - it'd be like your first one. BTW, CD, I just went through your pics -- VERY NICE!! I love the solo seat and rack look. So far I haven't been much for trips.......mostly pleasure riding and commuting. Your bike in all it's iterations really shows the beauty of the Roadstar line -- it can adapt to nearly any man's tastes.

BTW.......when I say the original owner 'removed' the front directional bar.......that was done in the crudest of terms......bolts still in place and bar cut off! LOL!

I'll 'try' to figure out how to setup my signature and I'll attach the pic I took of the bike with my cell........kinda blurry.....yada.....yada.....but you'll get the gist of where the bike is now. I don't plan on too many changes, but you never know

Better pics located here:
