Gas Question 4 Years, 2 Months ago
This may have been talked about since I have been offline for a while. Has anyone noticed a drop in gas mileage since most companies are putting ethanol in their gas? I am pretty sure Conoco/Phillips is still straight gas, but maybe it is just my imagination. Any thoughts or expert advice on this issue?

Winter mix gas will also drop your mpg IMO. But yes. I think corn drops the mpg.

According to this article from Environment Canada they conclude that there is a 3% reduction in the efficiency of 10% Ethanol in 90% volume of gas...

My concern is over the effect that ethyl ethers have on plastic and rubber parts that were never meant to come into contact with these kinds of alcohols.

the gas milage drops , the price goes up , opec said last week that there was no oil shortage, but the were not going to increase production, then the prices started up, they have us bent over a barrol or something like that.

I have noticed a drop in gas mileage, but I just thought it was because I went to stage 3 on my pipes. anyone else have this problem?
