The 5 3/4" and 7" head lamps are 5 3/4" and 7". However the 4 1/2" passing lamps are not necessarily 4 1/2". Harley uses lamps that are called 4 1/2" but are actually 4 1/4". The foreign bikes use lamps which are 4 1/2". Adjure makes their lamps to fit Harleys so they are not 4 1/2". I replaced the passing lamp housings with after market parts so that the Adjure units would fit.

The Yamaha "Sealed Beam" housings are 4 1/4 inch...
(The industry standard for sealed beams is 4 1/4)

The Yamaha "Halogen Bulb Housings" are 4 1/2...

I replaced my Yamaha Halogen housings with the Yamaha sealed beam ones..and the adzures fit perfectly

That being said however I do believe the "Yamaha" tribars fit their larger 4 1/2 housings...
but they are not blue or black dot like the adzures...from kuryakyn

AND it sounds like the RTV sealant backfill idea is a good idea...

I tried much the same thing with a large o-ring and the sealant until I simply replaced the housings....

The sealed beam housings have a small horizontal nut and long bolt to clamp the bezel ring
instead of the little vertical phillips screw that holds the bezel ring on the halogen housing...

Thanks for the info I may end up going that route if I run into an issue with RTV. I should know by now to ask to see if it is possible to do before buying. Then again these things relax me after supervising people all day.

Sometimes ya get it in yer head...."I dont want to live with a patch solution"

So I thought I would give you the option to do it right....but it is going to cost more $$$.... but it is worth it....the bezel rim fits good...and looks proper...

Good luck... just tryin to be helpful...

yer bike looks nice...

BTW ...I really like the adzure Tribars... bright light and good looks...

I've been wanting to replace my bulbs with the Adjure Tri-bars. Glad I read this thread first. Does anyone know a quick way to confirm if I have a Yamaha sealed beam housing or the halogen housing so I'll know whether or not the Adjure lamps will fit into my stock housings?

thanks for the help!

yep

The halogen housing has a single small sheetmetal screw that holds the single piece bezel onto the housing...

The sealed beam housing has a small horizontal nut and bolt affair that clamps a split bezel ring tight...

Thanks, PopRivet.

Looks like I have the halogen models. How is the RTV fix working, still holding strong? Does this fix effect visors? Just curious since this is the road I'd have to take too to keep from having to buy and new bar.

thanks again.

you just have to buy the passing lamps themselves...not the bar ..and I didn't use RTV or visors...

Those are some awesome looking headlights, definitely a consideration for one of my future upgrades! You had issues getting them mounted in, was that just the passing lamps or the headlight too? Reason I ask is I have the sealed beam passing lights and from the other replies, it looks like these would mount right in for me

Re:Adjure headlight and Passing Lamps 9 Months, 1 Week ago
I just installed the Adjure trillient blue dot headlight!!! WOW.. what a difference. I highly recommend it. It looks awesome and throws out alot more light. I did however replace the bulb with a Piaa anti vibration bluish-purple tint. I had already purchased it to replace the stock one, then I found an Adjure blue-dot on ebay for $20. (It was listed as Adurl and no one bid on it!) So I combined the two and love the look and extra light. Now I wish I had read this thread before I purchased the yami tri-bar passing lamps. I'm gonna try and get em on soon... but think I'm gonna have to get the Adjure blue dot passing lamps to match the headlight. We'll see what it looks like first.
