I pulled the pic off my website....see if I cant get a close up pic tonight...

Yes without any warning that your oil pump has failed...no idiot light...

the engine seizing up could be a little late...

I like the idea too, but in reality, you would probably have to be watching the gauge at the time of failure to be able to shut down quick enough to prevent the engine from chewing itself up..I think an alarm of some kind would actually be a better deal..

If we're going to go beyond a gauge I would opt for a oil pressure kill switch. It could shut down the motor before we could react to the alarm. Of coruse if that happened going fast we might crash and screw up the motor anyway.

Ya gotta love em. The HK's are going to be going up for sale soon. Those weigh a ton man they use heavy gauge metal in them. The chrome is much better on the HK's.

I think that's a great idea.. not the part about crashing...Ive hit my kill switch by accident going about 50 or so, and it was not a problem other than the fear factor of what just went wrong, it took me about 10 seconds to realize what I had done.....
