hey Deeker, I just "googled" to find the Ontario Highway Traffic Act. Took a quick look through, don't see anything in there. A friend of mine is an OPP officer, I'll ask him to see what he says.

I believe it's 24" above the seat but I'm not positive as I have seen a 12" number quoted somewhere. You would, however, not be able to legally run some of the apes shown here.

Hey Deeker, got some info about Ontario Law for handlebars. In the Highway Traffic Act, Reg 596 it says:
10. (1) No person shall operate upon a highway a motorcycle or motor assisted bicycle equipped with handlebars that are more than 380 millimetres in height above the uppermost portion of the seat provided for the operator when the seat is depressed by the weight of the operator. R.R.O. 1990, Reg. 596, s. 10 (1).

According to my math that works out to say that the height of the bars can't be higher than 15" above the seat.

the seat provided for the operator

That sounds like it means the stock seat. So if you put a lower seat on you would need lower apes.
