I have an 03 R* Silverado Limited Edition. The original buyer had them installed. I think that they sound absolutely marvelous.

Not much you can do as there's very little room inside to put baffles. The cheese grater baffles that you buy do very little to deaden the noise.

Kitchen sink strainer or washer mod might work.

You could make your own but it's trial and error to get them right.

Try a set of 2 into 1 headers from Pacific Coast Star, I used to have Cobra highboy cannons on my '01 stock motor without baffles and my bother said when he road behind me that my Roadie was the loadest stock V-twin he had ever heard. Now I have the Monster Pro Pipes on it and before I built the motor up the 2 into 1 header was quieter. It is a completely different sound than the long cannons.

My HK's are the same way, they are loud if I am in the throttle hard, and I have had some complaints from my buddies following me, but I love the sound and I get lots of positive comments too. And best of all the cagers hear me coming.

hey thunderpumper

used to have the longshot to (to loud for me too!) this helped
took the baffles out, wrap the complete baffle with header pipe wrap.
$ 65.00 a roll- need to hold in place with thin wire (i have some wrap
left over you can have for free (just pay shipping)

I am laughing here cause...most find the Stock OEM to be too quiet...you know not enough thunder...that.. let the cagers and the other bikes know I have a thunderous power plant under me

then along comes the aftermarket and we are now waking up the neighbours on Sunday morning and maybe MR police Man might hear us...

OK there isn't any exhaust that is goin to be pussy quiet and a roaring
lion.at the same time...

Ya had better choose ...
