Passing Lamp Removal 9 Months, 2 Weeks ago
I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to remove the stock passing lamps that come on a 2005 Yamaha Roadstar Silverado. I feel like it will be not problem for me to find the mounting brackets, just need help with properly disconnecting the wiring. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If it is a 2005 SILVERADO and properly wired you should have a separate white plug assembly for the passing lamps....

once inside the headlight bucket separste the two halfs of this plug...

if it has been wired wrong then trace the red and black wires ...

The signal lights will have a brown or green .a blue. a black from each side ...on bullet connectors....

separate them from their plastic coated female conectors

Ps remove one brown or green wire and test yer signals and mark which signal light each connector belongs to..the blue (running)and the black (Ground) mate into a three way connector ....

Actually I think the dealer may install the passing lamps and on the Silverado..at least that is what happened to me and they snipped of the white plug and stuck the red and black wires into the blue and black connectors....

I would have never noticed it except the passing lamps kept acting up...

The dealer did not follow the addendum and wired the lamps the way earlier silverados were wired...

If wired correctly the 2005 Silverado passing lamps only come on when the motor is running..
