Trying to decide on what to put on my 05 Midnight Silverado. I got 10,000 out of my OEMs; but the back looks like a racing slick (it got away from me fast). I see threads on Dunlop, Bridgstone and Metzs. Got about 12,000 miles out of them. They squeal like hell in the turns. I got 15,000 miles out of the Dunlop 401s on my Fatboy. Guess what I'm running on the Roadie. Changed to Dunlop Elite III and love 'em. I've only go 7500 miles on it now to total milage is to be determined. That is an average of more than 12,000 per tire. I would say that the tires I install are roughly evenly split between Dunlop, Bridgestone, Avon, and Continental; with an ocational Metzler, Maxxis, Cheng Shin, or IRC thrown in. Ran Avon venom's for awhile...great grip , softer rubber, cost a few more bucks,didnt last as long but still got good miles out of them,...sorry dont remeber exactly how many. Have the Metz's now...thier my favorite. With 5k on them they still look new.
