Their all good oil. What ever is readily available in your area.
I use the amsoil 10w40 but others prefer the 20w50. your choice.
Another great oil debate.

I use Mobil 1 20/50 full syn. and like it (and it's easy to get my hands on....Autozone and Wal-Mart), with a Napa gold oil filter. Just me though.... BB

There isn't any best quality wise between them. You might have to try several brands to see which one your bike likes best.

an oil thread... Amsoil, Royal Purple, Mobil 1.. all good. You'll love the difference in how your engine sounds. And how it puts your mind at ease in the heat and hard running.

20w 50 always on air cooled relates to 26 years of no service due to that part any way
If you cam up, stay away from mobil as it has failed my twice, the other two run well which makes me sleep well.
If you can find it look into schafer's as well, you will find big boy builders have it or know of it
ggod luck and good rides

Hi Guys

lets ride spring is here

I rolled my bike out and saw a little oil below my bike

never had a leak before and have taken a few more rides since no more oil under the bike

Could it be the crank case breather that spit out a little oil from starting it a few times over the winter first time I have seen it since I bought my bike new a year and a half ago have about 4500 miles on my R*

little concearned but not to the point I am worried just thought I would check for a logical reason , cause I dint buy a harley otherwise I would think it was normal

Ride safe

Oh boy, another oil thread . Mobil 1 10W-40 works for me. Easily obtainable at Wal Mart and cheaper than the boutique oils (Amsoil, Royal Purple, etc.). The so-called 'motorcycle-specific' oils are just snakeoil, IMHO. But hey, it's your bike and your wallet. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the synthetics.
