I only run with the petcock on reserve if I'm on my way to a gas station and the low fuel light comes on. I've done it very little.

Doc,

I'll start with the fuel filter in the line and go from there. Do the fuel filters have a given lifespan? I suppose it's possible for one to be dirty and clogged after 4500 miles.

Could it be a problem with your fuel pump????
