Platinum Boarder Posts: 1323 What's an average MPG??? 5 Years, 1 Month ago   Is there an average MPG for the R* for me to see if I'm in the ballpark with my bike? I know alot has to do with mods, i.e. air filter, pipes, windshield, driving habits etc... I got 41 MPG on a ride this past weekend. I'm happy with that if that is "normal", but if I can get more, I'll try to get it. Here's what I've got... '03 1600,cobra pipes,K&N air, windshield, saddlebags, engine guards(BIG Yami),Passing lights. I'm figuring that all the add-ons lower the mileage somewhat. As for the carb. All I know is that the main is a 165, PMS 2½ out. If I get on it, it has gone as low as 35. And oh yeah I dont abuse the old girl but i'm not afraid to burn out either. Sounds like your good to go.
