Clutch Disk Position 9 Months ago
|
|
I was reading some old threads and was reminded of something. When I changed the cluth spring from stock to the warrior I pulled the clutches to mic them. I noticed that they were installed in the basket randomly, and the manual noted that the tab with knotches needed to be in line with the marks on the basket.
1 - does this misalignment mean anything.
2 - the clutches were middle spec and bike has 26,000mi Were they replaced?
It had seemed to be slipping and I alighned them and put in the cluth together and it's much better. I was just curious.

I believe that the surfaces get 'matched' so if you don't put them back the same way they are removed you may get premature failure.
