I'm thinking the "freon in a can" combined with the vice & slide hammer will be what I try. Plus, I agree that I might have to wait until the engine is back in the frame and try pulling then.

Also, I'm hoping my cousin is able to find a couple spent .45 casings for me though! I love the look they give over the billet plugs, but we'll see what I have come Sunday!

anyone try using heat to loosen those babies. usually works for me. I just pulled a stubborn defective 02 sensor from my chevy silverado ( I'v got 2 silverados) AND UNTIL i HIT IT WITH THE OLD TORCH it was going nowhere fast. good luck with it bro.

Well the dent puller was a phenomenal success at pulling those elbows with ease! We drilled a pilot hole in the elbows, threaded the reverse thread puller in, pulled about 5 times and POP, she's out! No need even for the Freon, probably helped that the ambient temperature was about 7 degrees Celcius!!

The cold also helped popping the plugs in, no problem what so ever! Thanks to all the advice! Now what to do with the unused can of compressed air...
