I don't know about leaving them in, but I JUST took mine out 2 days ago and I can tell you that it's not as hard as it seems with the right tools.

We used a dent puller (most commonly reccomended on RSC) to pull the elbows. Just drilled a pilot hole, threaded in the reverse thread point and popped 'em out! It was actually quite simple doing it that way.

It definitely looks much cleaner without that crap in the way. The plugs (or whatever you choose to use) look much nicer than the elbows.

Yes to your questions.

Leaving the fittings in the engine and capping them with a rubber cap is going to look .... well ..... crappy.

I didn't notice any difference in the sound, the only thing I noticed was it stopped popping at decel. And it made the engine look a lot cleaner

hey guy's

have 03 roadstar w/ cobra speedster longs - notice that when your done
going threw the gears - 55 plus i get lots of echoing coming from the
exhaust if you give gas it goes away. happy with sound but this echoing
is pissing me off!!

if i remove this ais system , will that take that echoing out of the
exhaust or is it because the exhaust is long and i have to deal with
it!!!

thanks
