I put V&H staggered shortshots on my bobber and the first time I started the bike it made my ears ring for a couple of minutes after I shut the bike off. It came with the "quiet" baffle. I took the baffle out of each pipe, sawed two slots in the each baffle with a hack saw and brazed in a plate I had drilled 1/8 inch holes in the complete surface of. It now has a respectable putt but is not obnoxiously loud. Just right for me.

I put the quiet baffle in mine yesterday drove it today. Was way to quiet took them out, the bike without the baffle sounded great but didn't like the sound when you cam off the trottle. So I drilled six holes in the back pressure plate on the quiet baffles and now it has great sound and back pressure. I started with 1 and worked my way up to six to get the sound I wanted. I have the stock long ribbed ones but didn't like the sound. I like load off the line but want to hear my tunes and 110kms. Best of both worlds.

I have the Longshots with Thunder Monster lolipop style baffles. Loud as hell when I get on it but not bad if I stay off the gas.

I don't like loud pipes at all, but I have Longshots with the baffels out and I don't think there to loud at all, neither does my girlfriend.

I put on a set of VH Long Shot HS about six months ago. I left the baffles out and I LOVE the sound. The only way those baffles are going to get close to my bike is if I park my bike close to my workbench.

I also have the longshots without baffles and think they sound great,I can keep the noise low until I twist the throttle, had short pipes with no baffles before and was very loud, now they are hanging on my wall and won't make it back on the bike, the longshots are just what I wanted for sound
