First Time for Rear Brakes in My 04 4 Years, 1 Month ago
I just read a few posts in changing rear pads, I don't think I'll have any trouble, I had a few questions though, The Rotor has a little wear. Do I just pound in new pads and let them wear in? or should I have the Rotor cut and where do I go for that? Any bike shop or Yamaha only?

(Does anybody know a good bike shop near Boston MA. Area)
What kind of pads are the best?

It's been 40 years since I was near Boston... So, I can't tell you about a shop.... But, at 200 miles I swapped out the OEM pads for Semi-matalic and I've eliminated amost all break dust and quieted a lot a break squeel... Oh, and at 7K the rotors look good and clean.

Leave the rotors alone. You could set the pads to the rotors unfortunately it's a bit difficult (and dangerous) to do for the rear brake. Just let them wear in but be aware that you'll have reduced braking in the rear for a while.

If you've got stock pipes, order two new muffler gaskets for when you pukll the mufflers and have to reinstall them.
