Hey Fellas,
was at the local yamaha shop and they finally had an 08 R*,Tour deluxe, and Venture. R* is pretty nice, the sensors that they put in each exhaust pipe is pretty noticable. Overall the gray paint scheme on the RSTD is pretty sharp.

Sensors in the pipes? Sounds like I don't want one.

Change the pipes and pull the EFI off and stick on a CARB!

Does the Venture still have the cassette deck? I've heard rumors the 2010 Venture will have the 1800cc fuel injected engine.

The Venture was the gray paint scheme one. The dash was a nice marble color, and yeah still had the old school cassette. They took the black buttons off of the dash for the R*, and put them on the right switch housing. The exhaust flanges are a little different where it mounts up to the engine. The RSTD was a gray one and black/blue one.

I like that black/blue Tour deluxe. If I was to get another it would be that one. But, cassette on the venture?? Dont understand why Yami wont switch to CD. Everybody else does it.

That could be a real sale burner. It's getting harder to even find a place that sells cassettes. If it's on the bike you're paying for it whether you can use it or not.

Yep...first thing I would do is pull the cassette and put a CD onboard, and I would try to get the dealer to pay for it in the price of the bike.

The 08 have oxygen sensors just like cars. The Raider has them too. This will drive up the cost of after market pipes.
