BB has you covered. I would take it back to the dealer as is. Don't fix anything. And get them to document what's wrong and what they're going to do to fix it. Get a copy of everything.

I'm running the same thing and all of the holes must be block off and the backing plate is for the flat side carb will not fit the stock carb

. I even blocked off the hole for the head breather and then ran a hose down near the rear horn for the head breather you can find some of the caps at lowes good luck and don't over oil the filter or you find an oil film down the side of your bike when you ride

Yep! I agree wholeheartedly. By chance , does it look like anything was ever snapped it there (although I thought it snapped in from the inside , but memory is shaky on that detail) ? BB

For my money, its MR C's mod,,,A K&N universal,, you will need to fab up a bracket for it, but it is fairly easy... http://www.knfilters.com/search/product.aspx?Prod=RA-066V I use it and luv it... you can see it in my sigpic
