Brakes done = new pads?

What pads did you get put in?

Did you properly break in the pads?

Is the rear wheel properly aligned and not cocked?

Doc~

You mention pads and proper breaking in...couple of quick questions (not to take away from his question)

What pads do you guys (the forum experts) recommend on the Road*'s? and two, what is considered proper breaking in of the pads? I'm going to have to change out both sets shortly and I want the right pads and want to break them in properly.

Thanks!

Hi,...i try to help but ist a bit hard in english,...here in germany i´m a mechanic and i work at mercedes-benz,...we use sandpaper to shape the edges of the brakepads in a 45 degree angle ,..that will stop the noise which comes from the 90 degree angle between the edges of the pad and the disc,...the noise is a vibration,...hope i could help,...

greets

keith57,

I can't help you if you don't answer may questions

Brakes done = new pads? complete overhaul?

Is the rear wheel properly aligned and not cocked?

If it's squeeling all the time the pad is rubbing against the disk.

Monty's solution is good (Thanks Monty) but it's used if the the brakes squeel when you apply the brakes. Yours is happening all the time so we need to find out why.
