#80917 srmacrae (User) Fresh Boarder Posts: 3 Looking for pipes! 4 Years ago   Always had Yamaha bikes but first time with Road Star. Love it so far but having a problem with the pipes being too loud for the locals......(Go figure) I just bought the bike used and in excellent condition. 2002 1600 Road Star with only 11,000 miles. Came with V & H straights. Great sound from the bike but not the neighbors. Are pipes interchangeable from 1700 to 1600 and what model years would work for me? Trying to keep everyone happy. I am looking for a set of stock pipes as a spare..... Only a matter of time before it hits the fan. Keep an eye on eBay for a deal or the classified here or on the RSR delphi forum if your looking to stash a set of stockers. Like TopGun said though maybe a set of baffles for your V&Hs might get things down to an acceptable level. Just me here but it's been my experience that you can't make some people happy no matter what you do. Will pipes from other years fit also? Have to keep the missus happy too you know. She has to sit back there and put up with the noise.
