Choke creep 4 Years ago
Whenever I start my bike I pull the choke and it fires right up. All well and good. However, after about 10 seconds the choke "automatically" creeps back in and the bike stats to idle rough. I'm assuming the rough idle is due to the fact that the motor still needs the fuel mixture set as it would be when the choke is pulled.

I can reach down and ease it back out, but almost instantly I can feel it slide back in without any effort from me. Is this normal?

I know you really shouldn't run the bike with the choke pulled completely out, at least not for very far. Nor should I need to do that. But I'd think that the choke would need to remain fully pulled for at least the first min. or two when it's first started.

Anyone have comments on this?

Thanks,

M7

The round rubber gromet right behind the knob is a tension adjuster. Just turn it by hand until it's where you like it. Righty tighty.

Try adjusting the tension wheel right behind the knob.

Yeah, what Musky said.
