Re:HELP ASAP 6 Months, 2 Weeks ago
Here's an article that might help, and below that is some text I pulled from it:

http://roadstarclinic.com/content/view/47/105/

"If possible, spray the elbows with Freon. If not possible, grab with vise grips or automotive dent puller and slowly work back and forth until they come out. some people have recommended using screwdriver or wooden dowel along with a hammer to pound the elbow out from the right side of the bike. Personally, I used a 3 foot long, 1" diameter wooden dowel to get the elbows moving... I then used some vise grips to twist them around and finally yank them out... they weren't budging though before I whacked them from the right side of the bike."

Mine took a pair of vise grips tightly clamped and some really enthusiastic wailing on them. Used a piece of broom stick, a large hammer, and approached from the right side across the jug. Thought they would never come out. Wail on em a little then twist and pull em...repeat till they come out....

Good Luck, speedster

Ha! better put that hammer away now!
Never DRINK and HAMMER. Drinking and driving (or hammers) don't mix. Something usually gets bent up in my experience...

I've got a tip for anyone trying this mod....DON'T DROP THE PLUG when trying to install the rear one! I just completed this project and it would have been fairly quick and easy...other than spending an hour trying to retrieve the plug from behind that little space behind the engine and behind the puley. anyways thanks for all the tips!
