You want to change the oil as soon as possible after the tank is empty but it doesn't have to be on the side of the road when you hit E.

Have you done a compression check?

Compression check doesn't tell you anything Musky, remember with my last bought with it I did a compression check and I had 160 in both cylinders. I did the treatment in the ports and all way cured. I haven't check my compresion now but I am sure it has to be much better.

That's correct ... a leak down is better.

For the overnight carb treatment ... Take off the aircleaner. Start the bike and put it in high rev ... around 1200 rpm. Spray the cleaner into the carb throat but don't let the bike stall. Keep spraying for about 30 seconds. Lower the revs and slowly spray enough to stall the engine. Leave overnight and serve hot.

In the morning when it gets running it should run like crap and backfire for 1 - 2 miles. Hope your neighbors like you.

ok, 4 oz, thanks. I thought the whole can was alot..lol. My bad. so recap, 4oz seafoam in tank, spray seafoam into carb and deepcreap into the ports, let it set overnight, run the snot out of it and change oil? Then do more tuning.

You can spray the carb with DeepCreap the liquid SeaFoam is to put in the gas tank. Some may not agree that you need to do the ports but I tried just the spary in the carb and it always comes back. After doing 5 treatments thru the carb I did the ports and everything is fine. I just know what works for me. Good luck!

Doing a SeaFoam treatment even if I do not have SVS(I hope I don't) hurt anything?

If it was sudden it may be bad gas. I was riding my Venture back from bike week this year and I had filled up at a small station in Flagler beach where my sister lives. I drove maybe 60 miles fine the next morning and all of a sudden it was like iI turned the petcock halfway off It was sputtering and I thought OH Sh** and I was cursing Yamaha. I had to run that tank and about half of another out before it started running right again. It was so bad it would barely run at times. Fine now. For what it's worth.

Re:SVS, please help 7 Months, 2 Weeks ago
Well, Greysnake was right. The little rubber boot I used to plug the vacuum line nipple fell off and thats why my bike was running like crap. Here's what really sucks. I didn't take the time to check that rubber boot cuz I didn't want to take the tank off. I did 3 seafoam treatments through the carb before I got pissed and figured I better take the tank off just to make sure. I couldn't believe my eyes last night when I saw the wide open nipple. Boy did that make the rear cylinder act funny. From what I read on the forum, it was acting just like SVS. The pipe would suck the rag in when the engine was running and everything. Anyway, one more question. Do I need to change oil now? I only have about 200 miles on a fresh change of Amsoil. I talked to my neighbor last night, who sells the Amsoil, I he said I shouldn't have to change the oil since I did the seafoam treatment throught the carb?

Guys, thanks for everyones help and suggestions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wayne.
