(2 part) Wow! and... What's that noise? 5 Months, 3 Weeks ago
Last week I ported my manifold and finally got a 35 pilot jet in and I think the correct main jet and clip setting. For various resons I just today got to put a few miles on it at various speeds. Unbelievable! It doesn't feel like the same bike! The best way I can describe it is more torque. Even the exhaust sounds different. It definately feels better. Like I've said before, it's never ran bad but it keeps getting better and better.

Secondly, there is an new noise. It sounds like a supercharger or gear drive whine that increases as I accellerate. It isn't the common buzz I hear that is supposedly the decompression solenoid. Any ideas?

The Whine is usually from the cam gears. Yami put straight cut gears in the roadies.

AIS long gone and belt checked. This is a new whine and the only changes since last ride have been the jetting and porting.
Probably no biggie, just something to go along with the tank rattle and decomp buzz!
