You have the tribar kury ones still

then just order the sealed beam passing lamps ..install the kury tribars.... and be done with it

they are nice solid lights.. at least the ones I have

everything matches now

I returned the Adjure Tribars to Phat Performance and turned that into a Brake Away throttle lock. Bought the Yamaha replacements and thought I was all done.
I guess I will be in the market for a set of Yamaha sealed beam passing lamp housings

Project update. I am removing the switch entirely and passing lamps will be on when the engine runs. That is the way I want it anyway so no switch just removes the accidental turn off when I clean the passing lamps.
Anybody know of any reason why that switch is a must have?

Good call! I never understood the switch either.... It's just something that gets accidentally switched off when I clean my bike.

I can't think of a reason. My last bike didn't have a switch on the passing lamps.

ah.... thats the easy around it...no... you dont need the switch if you want them on all the time...

I wired in a rocker switch to the underside of my horn button switch...

I flick em down when idling in down town traffic especially at night...

reduces drain on the electrical and makes the cager in front of you happy if ya got them aimed high...

I think the switch is an excellent idea and my harley had a switch on the handle bars for the lamps

the R* switch is just in the wrong damn place...

I am glad Yammi didnt put the horn button on top of one of the horns or the hi/lo beam switch on top of the headlight...

I can flick em on off hi or low beam any time...

I just passed the wire thru the hole where the lamps switch was...

that way they could really be "Passing lamps" not just auxiliary running lamps..

couldnt figure out how to reach thru or around the windshield at 50 mph when I wanted to pass someone.

The switch is not definately necessary; however, if you ever have to start the engine with a weak battery it just might be nice to have it. Equipment sucking up the juice from a weak battery might not leave enough power for the starter.

My passing lamps only come on after the engine starts. They are wired with a relay from the ignition module that acitvates them when the engine is running. This saves a little on the battery.
I like the idea of having the switch under the horn button to turn them on and off as they are bright and if you are riding in a group at night they can be blinding to the bikes in front of you.

I really think is a mod worth doin...

I got harley part number 77103-88 used on their bikes for their passing lamps

it comes with a bracket that you can simply mount to the mirror bolt

or you can modify it to be closer to yer thumb like I did...

I like that idea. Where did you get the switch?
I am switchless now, and like the idea of being able to turn off the passin lamps when group riding at night. Ohters have complained that my lights are pretty bright when they look back!!! This condition could be even worse now that I have the undifused tribar lenses on the passing lamps.
