interesting noise 5 Years, 8 Months ago
Hi everyonereally love the website!!! The wife and i just got back from a 4 day loop through Utah. Awesome!! About 1/2 way through a noise developed in the belt area on the left side. When i would let off the throttle there would be a schreech for a fraction of a second. It would not occur on regular acceleration only when cruising and net to let off gas. is there something i need to tighten? Any help would be great!

Your belt is too loose. It's especially noticeable if you have a passenger.

I have been hearing the same noise. It started on our trip to the mountains when we were going down the switch backs. It was really loud out there with all the weight on the bike. I can hear it a little since we're home. I'm checking the belt tension tonight. THANKS guys!!!!!!!!!!

That's the same noise you get if you lower your bike the flip method and forget to readjust your belt. I didn't get it until I rode two up on a trip. LOL lesson learned, I read all the destructions when we got back.
