If you're talking about the tube that attached to the AIS hanging down, stick a golf tee in it to plug the intake and tuck the tube.

the only thing to plug is the intake manifold...cap the spigot off and thats it..nothing coming from the carb needs to be plugged...

No FB he is talking about the vacuum port on the manifold. You can go to an auto parts store and get rubber caps to put on it. I would advise putting silicone seal in the cap and in the port before you put it on. I have just the rubber caps and I have a small one and the a lager one to fit over the small on with a worm clamp on them. The large one breaks down and cracks after a while and you have to replace it I usually replace both of them. The silicone will do a better job.

Hmmm. I think I misread the post. If it's an elbow coming from the carb, you should prob'ly leave it alone, like FB said.

I left the hose attached to it and left it under the tank. I threaded a screw into it and put a small hose clamp around it.

As long as its pluged one way or another.

Yea I think Curt misread it too, GJ clearly said he capped the mani port. I have removed my AIS, and have plugged the manifold.

if the tube goes to the spigot on the intake manifold from the AIS and you have left it attached then you would plug it...but most remove the tube and cap the spigot...

it like curt says ..the ais kit comes with a vacuum cap but some kits the cap is too loose then you do as curt has instructed...

I thought you meant you plugged the intake manifold.. maybe you were talkin about the exhaust manifold???

Re:Help AIS!!! 3 Years, 11 Months ago
Thanks for the quick replies!! I am working on the bike right now! I DID cap the manifold off! Just noticed upon removal of the AIS that coming off the carb there is a brass looking elbow, then a tube wich connects to I guess may be a pcv valve of sort. You can see a mesh screen on the other side. Someone mentioned float bowl breather. Could this be it? Sorry, I'm new to this, and didn't know if this should be left "open"! Thanks...
