I don't get to ride as often as I'd like (who does? ), so I invested in a trickle charger a while back, and the thing works great. My question is about the "easy connector" supplied with it. I read the instruction & spec sheets for the Battery Tender brand and the Schumacher brand, and they both have the same odd ommission...on the product box and on their websites, they both brag about easy connectors that you you can just plug in once you hop off the bike. It's a simple little quick connect plug to use instead of taking off the seat & attaching the alligator connector to the frame and the positive battery terminal. But in the actual product instructions, it's never mentioned!

It seems terribly obvious, but I take nothing for granted. Do the ring terminal connectors for the EZ plug attach directly to the battery posts so the EZ plug hangs out just a little under the seat? They make such a big deal about NOT connecting the ground alligator clamp to the negative battery post and ONLY to the bike frame, why would it be OK to connect the EZ plug wire to the negative battery post?
