Drillin stock exhaust 3 Years, 11 Months ago
Hey Fellas,
I am considering putting my stock exhaust back on and I have a question about removing the cone for the stage one. I don't have a holw saw or dremel is there any other way to remove the cone? Thanks

I just drilled three 1/2 inch holes into the cone and continued through to the last baffel support in the can...
It definately increased the sound level and has changed the engine output very little...

So how far is it from the cone to the first baffle that I drill through?

I was using a six inch drill bit and about two inches in from penetrating the cone was the baffle ring... (I think it's brass because when I swept up the shavings there were a gold color... And, soft to drill...)

Buy the 426 1-1/4" Fiberglass Reinforced Cut-off Wheels or the thickest 409 15/16" Cutting Wheels. The cutting wheels are more fragile.

If a Dremel isn't a tool you think you'll use much, look for a cheap, off brand one from one of the "closeout" stores. In my area it's Big Lots and I found one there for $20 that came with an acessory kit. I don't use mine real often but it's handy to have when I need it.
You'll like the looks better if you take the cone out. Makes the pipe look more open.

Can I get an 1 1/2in hole saw to cut the weld and get the cone out?
