Stage III too loud? 5 Years, 8 Months ago  
Hi,

I just go done taking my bike out for a test drive, the pipes were loud, maybe a bit too loud. In the event I needed to tone things back down a bit, (wife,neighbor,police,other) does anyone have any suggestions for quieting a set of stock stage III pipes?

go to ebay motors and get a set of stock pipes last time i checked around 50bucks

otherwise i dont know!

Ive got a set of stage three mufflers downstairs in my basement ...they are real quiet there

Too loud..... too loud.... if its too loud then your too old

seriously, if you want a set of stage two pipes, I have a set sitting in the garage. make an offer and cover shipping and you can have them they came off a '05 mid roadstar email me at uga96@alltel.net

I suppose you could look into buying a set of stock, stock pipes. There's been people on the RSR site that give them away for the cost of shipping. Or you could look into a set of slip ons.

Probably be easier to get a stock set and go to stage 2 (If that worked for you) or find a set that's already stage 2 than to try and rebuild the stage 3 pipes. Or this might be the perfect time to go new pipe shopping
