I have had one of these for the past several years... Comfortable and good quality.

Here's a point to ponder ...
Will your life insurance company pay your benefits if you're killed while riding & wearing a Non DOT helmet?

After two years everything is covered.

And yes, they would. Same as if you weren't wearing a seat belt in a car. Hell, most states don't even have helmet laws so it's not even the same thing.

Life insurance is something I believe in. It's cheap and my wife will be taken care of and not have to sell the house/property if I die. If you have kids and your family depends on you as a main provider, then it's pretty stupid to not have life insurance of some sort.

Agreed! I'm worth upward of 8 years of income dead. I ride, I enjoy it, and I understand it is not without risk. I have a son that is 13 and depends on my income for his well being and keeping. I don't seek death, and I don't fear it quite like I once did, nor do I fear it's consequences. It's a fact of life. I cover the income that would be required of me to see my son to adulthood, and though I am divorced now, I trust his mother to see to his needs with my life insurance.
Funny thing about some insurance, as DK said, after a certain period, almost anything is covered in most term life policies. Mine will even pay off on a suicide, (in case I happen upon Hillary dirt!) but it won't pay off if I die scuba diving or snorkeling, snow skiing, racing any motorized vehicle, or any form of sky diving, hang gliding, parachuting, or any other non powered flight. Go figure.

Just stay away from this one. Gigantic mush room effect. Another wasted $100 impulse buy.

I just bought this WSB helmet and like it. No mushroom effect and the strap clasp mechanism is awesome.

I ended up going back with the WSB helmet myself. Great helmet and no mushroom head. It also has a real nice latch system on it. Just beware !! Do not use anything but water to clean the Flat Black Helmets. The paint will come off. Lesson learned from my first helmet I bought from them.

+1 on water only. In general flat black tends to show any slight scuff or thumbprint unfortunately. I guess that's the downside.. where glossy black you can usually rub things off and usually even wax them.

Just out of curiosity to all of the pit boss users. Are you talking about the sport version or the regular. The sport is on sale at Dennis Kirk for $88. I like the look of that one and hope that is the one you guys are talking about. Not to fond of the built in brim of the other one.

I have the regular one as I like the added benefit of even a little shade off my glasses. I bought mine from here: https://www.ridersdiscount.com/bell-powersports-pit-boss-half-helmet-136470
But I got mine for a way better price earlier this month.
