How long does your crank case stay hot? 1 Month, 1 Week ago
when I pull the bike in the garage I have a fan I turn on, it cools the engine jugs pretty quickly, but it heats the garage up alot though, but my crank case will stay hot for a couple of hours, I mean can't lay your hand on it hot.

couple of hours at least..once you shut it down, it actually gets hotter...when I'm riding, I can lay a hand on the jugs for a second, but after she is shut down, no way..

yes, I know they get hotter. Thats why I turn the fan when I pull in, helps keep the temp from jumping. Not that it doesnt happen when I turn it off while not at home, but I figure I am not hurting anything by doing it. I just noticed how hot the case stays.

There is a lot of heavy metal in there that is all warmed up sitting in a closed case and warm oil bath, it takes a long time to get the heat out.

I never give mine a chance to cool off, riding everyday, the next morning put my hand down on the crank case and it is still warm.
