Wife wants a Honda Aero - UPDATE!! 1 Month, 2 Weeks ago
Well, she found one all on her own. Local seller on craigslist, had this '05 for sale. Guys, it had 296( not a mistake, two hundred ninty-six) miles on it! Cherry like straight off the showroom floor.

She had a huge grin on her face as she kept looking at it on the trailer all the way back from Dawsonville.

Pics are here and here for anyone who wants to see. More will follow.

M7

She's finally decided to get on two wheels. She's tried on for size several bikes, but the Aero seems to fit her body type. Or at least that's the bike that she feels comfortable on. Being 5'2" she really likes being able to flat foot the Aero. I've tried getting her on one of the Star bikes, but the "warm fuzzies" aren't there for her when she's on 'em.

So, anyone have any experience with these bikes? Good, Bad, Indifferent? I'd love to hear your opinions.

Thanks,

M7

Mark , Wendy (my wife) loves her Honda's. She had a new 750 Spirit in 05 and racked up a ton of miles on it. It never gave us a ounce of trouble in the 2 years 35,000+ miles she put on it. The Aero (I assume you mean the 750 , right?) is the same power train , so you can expect a trouble free bike. Just chain adjustments and lubes , but that's life. Congrats on the possible move. BB

Same here Mark... Buddies wife has an Aero they bought about 3 years ago. Hasnt given them any trouble and she loves it. She small too and it fits her perfect. Small and light enuf for her to get around on, and still big enuf to run with his Roadie..... if he takes it easy.

The Aero is shaft drive so you don't have chain lubrication or adjustment to worry about. I have a customer who has one and all I have done for him is replace the rear tire three times and the front once, and change the oil several times. With it parked someone hit it from the front pushing it to the rear and bent the kickstand, so we have also replaced the stand.

I had an 03...small for me..but reliable bike.

I am looking for one for my OL also. I like the Spirit Model...I'll give it a "girly" paint job when I find one.

Loved my shadow 1100. it was 7 years old when I sold it, brakes, tires and oil. Ran like a top when I got rid of it. Great bike.

There is a fellow who goes on alot of the same rides that I do, a 750 and he loves his. God bless the wife that ends up loving to ride, but U may want to make sure it is a bike that U may want to ride... Tha t is how I ended up with the RoadStar. I had a Suzi C50 that I love, I wanted her to either take mine or at least ride the same. She talked me into the I need something smaller crap, She ended up with a Suzi GZ250 although 70MPG she did not ride, and to damn small for me So the 06 sat till 08 with 110 miles on it until I got mad because it sat in the barn while I made payments and waited for my kids to ding it up. I loaded it up and traded it for something I could ride, Stripped the c-50 to a solo rider and use the 08 RS 1700 for 2-up and on a week and off a week riding to work. I love both bikes for diff. reasons, but I am a man with two mules or spoiled as the wife says. don't care. I still ride both more than she rode one. Hope it works well for U it would have been cool
