Had both hips and knees done. Can't state emphatically enough about doing the exercises. You'll do fine (if ya wanna keep the bike upright at stops).

Had a TKR in April, and now finally, I'm glad I had it done. Pre-op, I held the belief that I would work hard at PT
and be just like new in 6-8 weeks, WRONG. This thing will take some time and aggressive PT where they force your knee to achieve ROM can result in set backs. And don't believe the BS about someone's Grandmother who climbed Mt. Everest 3 weeks after the op. Your knee is unique and may heal faster or slower than someone else's. Try this web site Bonesmart.com, great advice from people who have been there. Good Luck!!

Just got to do the PT in the exercises but the trick is don't overdo it make sure you get plenty of rest in between and if it hurts don't do it

I had a total shoulder replacement in March of this year.....I started riding again in June. I can't believe how much it has improved. Now I'm kinda anxious about having the other one replaced probably in another year or so.

Like everyone here says - DO THE RECOMMENDED EXERCISES!!!

Good Luck.

Thanks all for the advice...I plan on doing the PT as specified and getting back to work ASAP.

I don't have disability time...so it all "off the cuff" while I am off the job. No work No pay. It's a tough life but somebody has to do it. No worries though I'll make it through...
