Star Days in Montana? Cool! Wife and I are going! We went to Star Days in Longmont, Colo. in '06. Had a wonderful time and enjoyed the great Colo. mtns. scenery.

I was at STAR Days this year. I was with a group of 15+ bikes. I also attended last year, in Chattanooga. I have decided in the future I will not be going back. There was really nothing there this year. There were about 11 vendors, and few activities planned. We spent a couple of hours there Monday and 3 hours Wednesday. That was all of the STAR Days any of us really wanted. However, we did a lot of riding all over Arkansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma, and really enjoyed the riding. We especially enjoyed the time we spent at Eureka Springs and Pea Ridge.

I believe if STAR doesn't do something soon, STAR Days will die. Look at the attendance over the past few years, it's definitely not increasing. I don't plan on attending another one. I have heard the one in 2005 in St. Jo, Missouri was one of the best. Since it was a smaller town, instead of a major convention city, the whole town got involved and those who were there for STAR Days constantly saw other STAR members, even away from the main event because the concentration of members was so great. I wish STAR would look into more small towns for hosting STAR Days.

VERY DISAPPOINTING, WE LEFT AFTER TWO DAYS AND WENT TO TELLICO PLANES TENN. RODE THE CHEROHALA SKYWAY AND THE TAIL OF THE DRAGON HAD A GREAT TIME IN THE MOUNTAINS, ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY, WON'T BE GOING TO ARK. AGAIN. WHEN IT COMES STAR DAYS, IT'LL ALL BE ABOUT LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! (EURIKA SPRINGS WAS NICE) WHAT WAS UP WITH THE VENDORS?, EVEN THE ONES THAT SHOWED UP HAD NO STOCK!

I did visit with the lady from Billings tourism and she was very positive that it would be much better next year. She says they have held other bike events and plans to try to make it a huge success. Granted had I talked to the tourism of Rogers/Bentonville they would have probably said the same thing.

I agree, location will definitely have a lot to do with it. If they don't make some positive changes and increase the vendors and activities, then it is going to die.

I can tell you this, I will not be staying around for the auction next year!!!!
