Thanks all!
Of course the lovely NY weather has forced me to change my plans a little.
It is just starting to rain and is suppose to keep it up all day.
Tomorrow it is going to be sunny with no rain for the first time in over a month so I guess I'll leave then.

Have a great trip. As you head South make sure you drink plenty of water and keep yourself hydrated. I ride in South Florida a lot and it is HO HUM here (Hot and Humid). Lots of Sun Screen too the sun will eat you up. Weather is supposed to be pretty good, but have you rain gear handy for the daily showers if you are riding close to the coast. Have fun and if you get south of Orlando, watch out for the crazy drivers as they are plentiful
Nothing like a long road trip, to clear your head, and catching up with old friends man that makes me jealous as I sit here in my office wishing I were on the road

Hey yeah Thom M...
Let us know where-a-bouts you're going to, here in the sunny South... If your heading down the East coast... A1A/ Route 1 is the route to take, South of Jacksonville... Most folks who are trying to "make time", don't realize they're only saving an hour from their trip by taking the "Big Slab"... That's from Saint Augustine to Palm Beach... In the "middle" of the state you can go Route 27 or 441 South (pick up 441 off of 301, just North of Ocala...) But however you go... Have a great trip, stay on your defences and like Cruiserbob said wear lots 'o sunscreen down here... My face and nose hasn't gotten sunburnt and peeled yet... This week, anyway!

Yep, I lived and rode in Fl. in the 70's (Tampa) and remember it well.
I have 2 quarts of an iced tea I make out of Yerba Mate all set for the trip plus I'm bringing the Yerba with me so I can make more as I need it.
I drink it at work especially on the real hot and humid days we have been having. It re-hydrates really well plus it has a bunch of good stuff in it.

Yes on both accounts I'm not surprised Willy thought of this.
Check out the house he built. http://unimotorcycle.fortunecity.com/id16.htm
What baffles me is all these guys are in their early 60's and they all have full heads of hair. Me on the other hand at 55 am balder then a cue ball, go figure
