Head and eyes, friction zone, rear brake. Don't be afraid to lean your bike. Get used to it at slow speeds in a parking lot, so you are acquainted with how it sounds. Finding out how it sounds when you drag your floorboard at 55-60mph is a little disconcerting. And yeah: Always assume that no one can see you. When riding, I've taken to turning the driving lights on, and also keeping my lights on high beams. (loud pipes help, too!) Hee hee... Congratulations and good luck! P.S. One more thing: I highly, highly recommend the DVD, "Ride Like A Pro." It's expen$ive, but sooo worth it! Here in Oregon, when you complete the MSF class, all you need to do is take your "Diploma" to the DMV, fill out a little paper work and your done.
