The reflecters on my saddlebags must be stuck on either with glue or double sided tape! There are no bolts going thru the bag. I hate to pry them off, with my luck I'll muff up the finish

You must have hard bags! Remove them like badges! Use fishing line to cut the glue, you can wax it if you want, and then use goo gone or wd to take the residue off. It will help if you heat it with a hair dryer first!

Great, thanks. What are the badges? Is it the "Yamaha" on the side covers and/or the Roadstar emblom on the gas tank?

Yes!

PS When you use the fishing line, use it in a sawing motion, while pulling in the direction your cutting!

Yeah, a hair dryer will very much make it easier... don't get ticked and try to rush it, it'll take some time to get those suckers off (mine were double sided tape) and trying to pry means they'll pivot on the tape and so the side opposite your prying *can* dig into the paint. I was lucky to catch myself part way through and no permanent damage was done, but yeah.. it'll take a bit of time. As for the badges, I agree.. I took the sticker off my fender and then the side covers didn't have any, so I left them.. and I left the Star on my tank cause.. well, I'm proud to be running a Star and they look sharp

Cowboys like us sure do have fun, racin the wind, chasin the sun. We\'ll take the long way around back to square one. Today we\'re just outlaws out on the run. There\'ll be no regrets, no worries and such, for cowboys like us.

I removed all of mine by heating them up first with a hair dryer and then easing one edge up with a putty knife. Use masking tape on the putty knife edges to protect the paint from it and on painted surface itself on the other side of the badge. If you go slow, and I can't emphasize that word enough, they'll come off pretty cleanly. I had very little cleanup to do when I was done.

Ratl.
