Some where in that system something is going to ground. It could be in the fuse holder, if you have made any electrical wiring changes check there first, I have been thru a similar situation with my Harley. If you used "elect" tape to cover any splices or connections instead of heat shrink, check there. I decided to jump the switch out and move it to just under the triple tree.
