I'm Back! 4 Months, 1 Week ago
Well I just got in from Florida this morning at 1:30am.
Ended up doing close to 800 miles yesterday, with about 600 of those in the rain .
I can say that the Metzler's are awesome on real wet roads.
Also the Mr. C. air filter has now been Tropical Storm tested and preformed flawlessly. Only problem I had with it was when the bike sat out in a down pour.
The bike ran like a top for the 3,800 miles I put on her, with only a running light issue the whole trip.

And my Road Star Clinic patch was waiting for me when I got in

You got that right.
Keep in mind I'm talking serious rain.
When I tried riding from South Carolina (South of the Border) on Weds. I was going from underpass to underpass and having to squeeze in with the cars that pulled over. With a rain suit and full leathers under neath I was soaked to the bone after 1/4 mile in fact it took me 4 1/2 hours to go 90 miles. Thurs. was a little better but not by much. It rained pretty hard from lower North Carolina to the Penn. state line.
If nothing else I brought back much respect for that filter, my Metzler's and most of all for my Star.

I forgot to mention.
On the way down I stopped to get gas in North Carolina.
While pumping this guy walks up and says "nice bike".
I noticed he had a Star and while talking found out he was going home from the Star Days in Charlotte to South Bend, Ind.
He had a 99 Star and was a member of Iron Butts.
I should of gotten a picture, because from the home made cup holder to the home made passenger hi-way bars he had one unique Road Star.
