NICE!! I love the Scouts, and yours is really nice. Nice mods on it, too!

I had/have further plans for the Heep, if I ever save up enough for a vehicle to use as a daily driver. (Well, besides the Roadie, I mean...)

It's only got four angry squirrels, but in 4WL, the darn thing will just about climb a wall. The in-line six seems to have issues with cracked blocks and other fun stuff like that. The 4-cyl is dang near bulletproof. I bought it new in spring of '98, and it's never failed to start, never given me a lick of trouble, and has gotten me through some pretty gnarley situations.

The other dudes in my club are running bigger lifts, bigger tires, bigger engines, welded axles, etc. etc. My little Jeep just keeps chugging right along. I have to use different strategies for things -- a little more finesse with the throttle and the way I pick my lines, but the only time I've ever been stuck and needed help, was when I got high-centered in the middle of a river crossing.

No , not the diesel......304 IH V8. I learned a lot with this truck......how to weld , use a plasma cutter.....better yet , how to wheel the hard stuff more aggessively. Post a couple more shots of her. I made the bumpers , Rockslider, put a new floor in her , complete roll cage. Her cancer was so bad ....... I saw it as a clean canvas.

She's a beauty. You've put a lot of hard work and love into her. Nice job!

Great looking old truck. I love the scout IIs, they are an awsome vehicle. I have 2 jeeps currently, 1 new 4 door wrangler and an old '84 CJ 7 that I am trying to figure out whether to keep and turn into a straight offroad or sell.

I have never had a II but had an old scout, we put a 400 ci in it with a olds rear end. That was a lot of fun after we loaded the back end with concrete. I have had a '74 bronco also.

Think bikes are a $$ pit.......just get into "harder" off roading. You know.

Sold her about a year ago , starting on a more grassroots truck for myself as we speak. Something I can drive to the parks , not trailer. I love camping as well, so my 1990 Trooper should be just what the doctor ordered. BB

I'd love to have a bunch of different vehicles, but it's the insurance that kills me...doesn't take long to get out of hand...

Dude... Keep the '84! They're getting harder to find, and they are really sweet whether they're tricked out for rock-crawling or totally restored.

There's a dude running around town who's got an old CJ. He totally restored it, painted it UT orange with black accessories, chromed rims and a modest lift. It looks absolutely excellent.
