A new way to wave?? 2 Months, 2 Weeks ago
So, I was riding up to take my vest to have my AWESOME new clinic patch sewed on professionally. Riding towards me was a guy on what was clearly a white bike (and I say that because he's far enough away at this point it's all that I can tell). He proceeds to stick his left arm straight up into the air. As we get closer, I notice his index finger is extended and pointing in my direction (I was releived that he wasn't telling me that he was #1 in the traditional fashion) . So startled I waved back, and immediately proceeded to take inventory of my surroundings. All was well, and I proceeded to LMAO. He may have just been extremely delighted with the weather here in Houston (as I was), which was in the high 60's yesterday morning. BTW, he did appear to be riding a *. Anyone else seen this unique wave?

So, sometimes a one-fingered salute is a good thing?

I like the ones where the dude leans way over and wave, with their hand almost brushing the road. It looks so dang cool...

I normally reach downward with a Victory/Peace sign. Although, I have been known for that one fingered salute.

I've been known for that one-fingered salute too, mostly directed at clueless cagers who seem bent on killing me.

I think I'll give the "V" to other bikers, though. Cool...

Me too I think it should be attempted murder or something I had an old man just yesterday look right at me and then come over on top of me. Had I not took evasive action (splat)I told him He was #1.

I like the 2-UP wave, If we are on the freeway at 75-80 the wife will handle the waves unless I feel extremely motivated, She is also in charge of telling cagers they are #1 while I sound horn/rev engine...She's the greatest!
  • BTW She told me yesterday I should have "kicked that guy's quarter panel". I then Informed her I wasn't far enough up on him, he just would have taken out my front wheel..."Next time pass him on the right and I will, cagers."

She told me yesterday I should have "kicked that guy's quarter panel" That's something I have never tried, I'm a firm believer in the "for every action there is a re-action" theory..figured I would kick myself into the ditch or something..anyone actually done it?
