Also on #2 this goes for bikes only. The fine for cars/trucks is no where near it. One idiot I work with just got a ticket for doing about 95 in a 35. His ticket was around $600. I mean $600 is a lot but why the difference. I saw the ticket and then asked the logical question why. Of course the idiot didn't have an idea.

What's really ironic, is that a LOT of cops are bikers, too.

Pfft.... Whatever.

Baffle cops? Yes. Let's.

I've found that fighting tickets is the only way to go. On the other hand, a recent road block to check driver's license, made me aware that I needed to get my safety inspection again. At eht stop I said, "What's up?" "Checking DLs" the officer said. "Got one" I replied pulling out my wallet. He looked it over and then pointed at the front of the bike, "Need to check that out." I freaked leaning over the bars thinking, "Oh no, something broke." "Your tag is a little late," he tells me. The next day I'm at the H.D. dealers having my $9.40 inspection.

They did a similar thing at Bike Week in Lake George N.Y., pulled you over and checked your pipes to see if you had baffles on them. Sometimes they just want to mess with you because they can.

Didn't they also take over the rest area on the Northway after exit 9 and make it a mandatory bike stop like the truck way stations?
I remember seeing it on the news.
I usually ride through Lake George during Americade but keep going up Rt. 9 in to the Adirondacks more, but went into Vermont that week instead
