I found that if I wave with my hand in a "good bye" type of a gesture, more have responded that way. With all the folks on scoots now days it seems to be getting to the point where I'm less willing. We might start feeling like we're in a constant parade waving to everybody. The reaction from the riders is worth my "aerobics". I just hope one doesn't get too surprised and look away from the road too long--even falling from a scooter at 20 MPH, pavement is still a very capable human cheese grater...
