LOL now that is a good question! That was implanted in my leg, how they got that damn thing in there is beyond me. I have that and the screws, all internal. And I wasn't really bruised. It was done at Allegheny General here in Pittsburgh, really fine hospital if you ask me. I bet you get tired of them breaking that wand out on you at the airport, huh? I'm glad you're good to go now. I remember after having my right knee done, I got back on too soon as well. Swole that puppy up something good a few times. What is really cool is I can see how to modify it so you can have a kickstand you carry with you so this won't happen again. I knew I shoudl have been a surgeon. I've only made a few trips in the past ten years but you can expect it both ways. PS: Don't go for that rubber glove treatment. Been about 10 weeks since my surgery. I broke my tib and fib and they drilled a hole down through my tibia and drove a titanium rod all the way down through my bone and pinned it top and bottom. Not much fun at all. I still haven't been able to ride yet. If it makes you feel any better you are not alone. Platinum Boarder Posts: 1115 Re:Did I mention this hurt? 2 Months, 2 Weeks ago   Hey there Paulray, they were going to do that exact same thing to me, but as luck would have it, the only place that I had any road rash at all was right on top of my knee, no bigger than a silver dollar and because of that, they didn't want to go threw it to put the rod in. So I got option 2.... Do me a favor and do what they say, stay the hell off of it like they want you to. Its not worth it. I speak from experience.
