Either would look great. You might try leaving them black and painting the side panels white. I did have to add a couple of things to them because they seemed a bit noisy when on a rough road. I went to a local fabric store and bought some heavy wool felt and 3M spray contact cement and completely lined the inside. I also picked up some of that self-sticking door/window insulating rubber and put it on the inside lid where it overlaps the bag.
