I just cant figure it out... 2 Months ago  
Ive played arround with PMS and Ive put in new gaskets nice and tight...doesnt appear to be an exhaust leak....SO HOW DO I STOP THAT INFERNAL POPPING

Where is the bike popping from? The carb or the pipes?

I could be completely out to lunch here but my Star is a 99 and i was under the impression they didnt have that in 99...also i did not originally install these pipes they were on when i bought it...

and yes it is most diffinately coming from the pipe and on decelleration....

Now that we've got my mechanically expertise out in the open can anyone describe where and how AIS works and how i might fix that little problem...or perhaps direct me to tech article...

Judging from your sig pic...the front of the engine looks pretty uncluttered indicating that the AIS might already be removed. Has to be something in the fuel mix if that's the case and you have no leaks.

OK and AIS removal should stop the popping on decelleration...why does the ais creat a pressure problem? to much airflow from the aftermarket pipes? Im sure all this has been talked about before...
