I'm from Kings Mountain and I'm going to the Blue Ridge Parkway that day. I lost interest quickly when I saw the $30K price tag for the basic bike. The same company that bought Indian also bought Chris Craft boats and opened up a factory near the Indian one. It seams to be failing now as they have stopped production and laied off all the employees...only the engineering is still at work. I see Indian meeting the same fate...and soon.

    Pretty expensive.

Check out this seat stitching. You can see the holes and the stitches are kind of crooked.

    For that kind of money...

    Nice looking powerplant though.

I think I will reserve one, put a grand down and "specifications to be decided later".... NOT ON YOUR LIFE. Even if I wanted to pay 30K for a bike. You can bet I want to know what I am putting my money down on. For that price I could have my bike, Java's ultra and tampas cool '08, and still have money to spare.

Love the fenders and paint, at least in the pictures, but I can't see paying that price. At $30K plus the owner's groups will be small. Where would you get service for it? Maybe they do like Rolls used to; send the mechanic to you.

I was talkin' to a fellow in our Central Motor Pool recently. He rides an Indian with an S&S motor (an '02 I think). Had a bad vibration problem. Said $8,000 later it was fixed -- crankshaft had gone out of balance. He also mentioned that the new ones were going for $38K
